› How it works

From a phone call to a fixed PC, in a few minutes.

What you will see on your screen, in the order you will see it. Nothing here needs an account or an installation.

1. Get a code from your technician

Your technician starts a session and gives you a six-digit code, on the phone or by message. The code belongs to that one session.

2. Open the join page and download the helper

Go to join.kshansetu.in, type the code and press Download Kshan Setu. You get one file named after your code, for example KshanSetu-482913.exe.

Your browser may say the file is not commonly downloaded. That is Microsoft SmartScreen being careful with a file it has not seen often. In Edge, choose … next to the file, then Keep, then open the arrow next to Delete and choose Keep anyway. In Chrome, choose Keep. The publisher shown is Vinay Enterprises; if it is anything else, stop and tell us.

3. Open the file and press Allow

Kshan Setu opens a window that names your technician and Vinay Enterprises. Press Continue, then Allow. Until you do, nobody can see your screen. If nobody answers, the request is refused after a minute.

If Windows Firewall asks about Kshan Setu, you can choose Cancel. The session still works.

4. While your technician helps

  • A banner stays on your screen. Use it to pause the session or end it at any time.
  • If the technician needs administrator rights, Windows shows its usual prompt. Nothing changes unless it is approved.
  • Files move only when you switch file transfer on. The technician cannot browse your disk; you pick what to send. Files you receive land in Downloads\Kshan Setu and are never opened for you.
  • You can chat with your technician in the session.

5. When you are done

Either of you can end the session. Any administrator rights end with it. The file you downloaded stays in your Downloads folder but is inert: it holds no keys, and another session needs a new code. You can delete it.

For technicians

Sign in to the console, start a session and share the code. Once the client presses Allow, the console gives you their screen, chat, files, the monitor picker, Ctrl+Alt+Del and admin access.

For PCs your team manages, create an enrolment token in the console and install Kshan Setu on that PC with the command the console gives you. The PC then appears under Devices, ready to connect and to update from the console.

Questions about how a session is protected are answered on the security page.
